Virginia Yvonne Romagossa

Virginia "Yvonne" Moran Romagossa passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on October 30, 2026, in Gulfport, MS. Yvonne leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a family blessed by her love. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and great-grandmother who lived a beautiful life centered around her home and family.

Born and raised in Flat Top, MS one of 6 children born to Charles and Mabel Moran. She met her beloved husband Howard when she moved to New Orleans as a young woman. They raised their family in the New Orleans area, and later they retired to Diamondhead, MS, where Yvonne was active in the community and a member of the Red Hatters. Howard preceded her in death after 62 years of marriage

Yvonne is survived by her three children, Cindy Gomila (David), Michael Romagossa (Shelley), Howard Romagossa, III (Rebecca); six grandchildren, Stephanie Marks (Steven), Ashley Gomila, Dreux Gomila (Serramae), Jessica Venezia (Johnny), Nicole Milner (Eric), Drew Pekinto; and 11 great-grandchildren, Johnny, Greyson, Laine, Reese, Harper, Michelle, Emily, Isabella, Haley, Tatum, and Skylar, who lovingly called her GiGi. Yvonne is also survived by many nieces and nephews who were like her own children to her.

While her family and friends will miss her dearly, they find comfort in the many years they were blessed to have her and in knowing that a mother's love never truly leaves us.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Yvonne's honor to the Alzheimer's Association .

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln-DeLisle Rd., Pass Christian, MS 39571, with a prayer service following at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou.
