Virginia Danehower Gregory

Virginia Danehower Gregory, 84, of Pass Christian, died on Wednesday, October 24, 2012. Mrs. Gregory died at home of cardiac failure.
She was preceded in death by parents, Roderick Rhodes Danehower and Virginia LaFond Danehower; husband, Kendall Decatur Gregory M.D. and a son, Kendall Danehower Gregory.
She is survived by sons, William Parham Bridges III, Roderick Rhodes Bridges, and John Harley Gregory; a daughter, Virginia LaFond Gregory; step sons, Grier Joseph Gregory and Thomas Decatur Gregory; a sister, Josephine Danehower Findahl; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A retired educator and professor, Mrs. Gregory was born in Detroit, Michigan, and attended the Madeira School in McLean, Virginia. She received an Associate's Degree at Piedmont College, a Bachelor of Arts Degree at the University of Virginia, and a Master's Degree and Ph.D at the University of Southern Mississippi.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Humane Society of South Mississippi, 2615 25th Avenue, Gulfport, Mississippi 39501, www.hssm.org.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road in Pass Christian, assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
