Virginia G. Donald

Virginia G. Donald, a beloved resident of Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away on May 29, 2026. Born on February 10, 1952, also in Gulfport, Virginia’s life was marked by deep devotion to her family, faith, and community.

A woman of enduring faith, Virginia loved God deeply and dedicated much of her time to studying the Bible. She found great joy in her family, especially adoring her grandchildren, who were a source of immense pride and happiness in her life.

Virginia is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Danny Gene Donald; her children, Cassie “Rod” Waller, Gus Barnum, and Roxann “Ricky” Puglise; and her cherished siblings, Patsy Ann Adams and Brenda Cox. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Christina Ahlgren, Jonathan Waller, Desiree Richard, Emma Barnum, Elizabeth, Joshua, and Anthony Barnum, Michelle Mouring, Roxy Porter, and Rachel Nawrot. She was also a great-grandmother to Logan, Laila, Lynkon, Dallas, Tucker, Grant, Gabriel, Cayden, Peyton, Gavin, Isabella, Chandler, Ainsley, Oaklynn, Gwen, Savannah, and Aria.

Virginia’s family also remembers those who preceded her in death, including her parents, Sid and Bebe Taylor; her brother, Butch Stiglet; her brother-in-law, Rev. Jim Adams; her great-grandparents, Commodore and Azzie Breland; her great-grandson Liam; her mother-in-law, Lelia Eley; and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kenny and Norma Donald.

Those wishing to pay their respects may attend a visitation held at Riemann Family Funeral Home in Gulfport on June 4, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow the next day, June 5, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the same location. Burial will take place at Gulf Pines Cemetery in Long Beach at 11:30 a.m. that morning.
