Vincent Thompson

Vincent W. Thompson, age 73 of Pass Christian, passed away Friday, December 1, 2017.
Mr. Thompson was born in New York City.  He served in the United States Coast Guard from 1960 - 1964. Following his time in the Coast Guard, he was a police officer for nine years in New York City.  After his time as a police officer, Mr. Thompson served in the United States Merchant Marine as an officer.
He was an avid gun show participant and loved the flea markets where he made many friends, especially the Menge Avenue Flea Market.  Mr. Thompson was of the Catholic Religion, a member of the American Legion, a member of VFW Post 2880 and always loved to serve meals to others during the holidays.
Vincent is preceded in death by his significant other, Betty Adams; his parents, Bridget Corr Thompson, a native of Antrim, Ireland, and Douglas Thompson, a native of Stoak, England; his sisters, Dolly Thompson and Mary Thompson Purcell both of New York City; and his brother, Joseph Thompson of New York City.
He is survived by his brother, John Thompson of Islamorada, FL; numerous nieces and nephews; and his good friends, Patrick and Elizabeth Chapman.
A local memorial service will be held in the Spring of 2018.  A notice will follow to provide those details.
