Dr. Victor J. Stegall, 70, of New Bremen, Ohio, died suddenly on Sunday, December 6, 2015.
He was born October 17, 1945, in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of A.J. and Rose (Favazza) Stegall, and they preceded him in death.
He is survived by his three daughters: Chanin Stegall of Augusta, Georgia; Chandra (Joe) Nott of Lima, Ohio; Ashley (Kendell James) Stegall of Dayton, Ohio.
He is also survived by four grandchildren: Kyle Greiwe of Waynesfield, Ohio; Shelby Stegall of Saint Marys; Madeline Nott and Jaxson Nott of Lima; and a sister, Ursula Ann Stegall of Gulfport, Mississippi.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Michael Stegall; and by a son, Christopher H. Greiwe.
Dr. Stegall was a 1962 graduate of St. John's High School in Gulfport, Mississippi; a graduate of Memphis State University in 1966, and he earned his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Tennessee in 1969. He established his medical practice shortly thereafter in New Bremen, Ohio, and served his patients for 45 years. He was the former Chief of Staff of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in Saint Marys, Ohio, and a member of the American Medical Association. He loved reading, and was a private pilot. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Saint Marys.
In Ohio, Mass of Christian Burial was held 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 11, 2015, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Saint Marys.
Locally, Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 14, 2015, at S. Joseph Catholic Church at 11:00AM. Visitation will be held one hour prior. Local services are under the direction of RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Gulfport.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport.
