Victor Schuster Farris, age 70, of Wiggins, passed away on September 27, 2025.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Ruthea Currie; brother, Guy Farris; and father, Walter A. Farris.
Victor is survived by his children, DJ Graham (Fallon) of Saucier and Rachel Ackermann (Tom) of Gulfport; siblings, Derrick Farris (Sissy) of Delisle, Lyn Burnaman of Gulfport, Joan Farris of Gulfport, and Charissa Currie of Gulfport; grandchildren, Damien Graham (Reatta) of Saucier, Nicholas Graham (Jordan) of Saucier, Erriana Graham (Ty) of Saucier, and Mackenzie Lewis (Aidan) of Gulfport; and great grandchildren, Rowyn Graham of Saucier.
Born on August 22, 1955, Victor spent an impressive 43 years dedicated to his craft, retiring as an "old papermaker" from Dunn Paper, where he was respected not only for his skills but also for his work ethic and commitment to quality.
His afternoons were often joyfully spent taking his dogs for rides, a simple pleasure that showcased his deep affection for animals and the great outdoors. Beyond this, Victor was a passionate storyteller, captivating his family and friends with tales drawn from his life experiences. An avid reader, Victor had a profound love for literature. He was known for his collecting passion, particularly for guns, and thoroughly enjoyed fishing—hobbies that allowed him to connect with nature and unwind from the daily grind.
Victor Schuster Farris will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, love of reading, and the joy he brought to those around him. His dedication to both his work and his passions has left a lasting imprint on the hearts of many, and he will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life will be at 6:00 pm, Friday, October 17th, 2025, at Bill's Catfish and Steaks, Wiggins, MS.
