Vicky Desmond

Vicky Leigh Desmond, age 50, was welcomed with open arms by her beloved Papa GiGi and by her two brothers, Randy and Rick "Buddy" Truitt to greet her heavenly father. Vicky grew up in Greenwood, MS and lived her adulthood in Gulfport, MS. She worked at the Isle of Capri Casino for 19 years.
She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, "Popeye" and Erna Truitt. Her memories stay remembered by her mother, Mardel Vallarian, her sister, Sheryl Whitfield (Kenneth), two children; Ciara Joleen Desmond-Stecker (Christopher Donald) and Joshua Joseph Truitt Desmond, granddaughter; Anastasia Rea Desmond-Stecker, known as her "Chi-Chi", nephews; Jeff and Jason Gamill, her many friends, and Lord knows all of her many cats and dogs.
Vicky loved to go to concerts with her daughter and to collect Betty Boop, White tiger, and Coco-Cola figurines. She was always outspoken and did not care who you were, she loved to "tell you how it was". Vicky was always one to lend a helping hand when someone was in need.
On behalf of the family we would like to thank the staff of the Dialysis Rehabilitation Center and Gulfport Memorial Hospital for taking such great care of her.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
