Adell, also known as Mama, Nanny, and Aunt Dell, was the second daughter of Marvin and Lois Ladner Head; was born February 5th, 1941 in Stone County MS. Adell was called home Monday, October 16th, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Adell married Desmond Rhea Walker of Gulfport and was married till death temporarily separated them in 1990. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brothers; Bobby Wayne Head and Marvin Jimmerson "Jimmy Head", her sister, Irma Jean Head Saucier and grandson, Mason Randall Darty.
She leaves to cherish her memories her brother, Ralph (Pat) Head of Gulfport, her five loving daughters; Shelby Walker Shaw, her loving caregiver, LaRhonda Walker, Joell (Donnie) Bourne, Karen(Bobby) Dammann, and Kimberly Darty (Andy Turner), her grandchildren; Caleb Shaw, who helped take care of his Nanny, Shaylynn Darty (Cody Singletary), Dakota (Jillian) Walker, Michael Dammann (Rebekah McCaskill), Dylan Walker, Destry Walker, Garrett Darty and the apple of her eye, her three great grandchildren; Landon Thode, Brodie Darty and Avary Walker and many nieces and nephews who loved their Aunt Dell.
Mom, thank you for always being there for us. Thank you for loving us. Till we meet again...
The family wishes to thank Canon Hospice for the loving care shown to our Mother.
The dedication of the grave will be given by her brother, Ralph Head. Pallbearers will be Caleb Shaw, Michael Dammann, Garrett Darty, Dakota, Dylan, and Destry Walker, Cody Singletary and Dawayne Saucier.
Visitation will be from 11:00a.m. -1:00 p.m., Friday October 20, 2017 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport and a service will follow at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Head Cemetery in Poplarville, MS.
