Vera Reich

Vera Reich, 83, was united in Heaven with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 2, 2015. Vera was born September 15, 1931 in Silas, Alabama to Joseph and Ruby Cunningham.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gene after 61 years of marriage, her parents, three sisters; Nora Dismukes (Price), Rose DuBose (Ace); Ann Thomas (Art); three brothers, Norman Cunningham (Flora); Dick Cunningham (Mary), Fred Cunningham, and her beloved grandson, Eric Lee Overbay.
Those who will miss her, dearly are her two daughters, Cheryl Pitalo (Wayne); Dara Buckalew (Danny) and one son Mark Reich (Terri); six grandsons, Jeremy and Jacob Greenfield, Einn Overbay, Ryan, Ross and Riley Reich; one granddaughter Haley Reich; great granddaughters, Hannah Greenfield, Aubrey Reich, Oakleigh Reich, Paisley Reich, Emily Reich and Delilah Rose Williams; two great grandsons, Noah Reich and Jaxson Reich; many nieces and nephews.
Vera was a member of the Gulf Coast Newcomer Club who presented to her an Honorary Lifetime membership award for her outstanding contributions to the club. She installed new officers every year for the club using her beautiful magnolia arrangements.
Vera loved the Lord, and was a Sunday School teacher at Bel-Aire Baptist Church where she taught the Rebekah Sunday school class for many years. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. She will be missed dearly.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Bel-Aire Baptist Church, 15080 Dedeaux Road, Gulfport, MS. Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Finley Cemetery. Pastor Randy Hommel will be presiding.
