Vera M. Hightower Hartley, 75, of Gulfport died Saturday, February 3, 2007 in Gulfport.
She was a native of Dothan, AL and been a resident of the coast since 1959. She was a member of Handsboro Baptist Church and served as a Red Cross Volunteer. Mrs. Hartley enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack W. Hightower, parents, Cleveland and Bertie Moss, 3 brothers, Lonzo Moss, Grover Moss, and Junior Moss, and 1 sister, Fannie Mae Gatlin.
Survivors include her husband, Clyde A. Hartley, Gulfport, children, Randy Hightower and his wife Debbie, Atlanta, GA, Larry Hightower and his wife Charlotte, Houston, TX, Joette Renick and her husband Bill, Ocean Springs, and Vicki Macey, Shalimar, FL, 1 sister, Annie Lou Jones, Winter Haven, FL, 13 grandchildren, Zach Hightower, Shawn Williams, Brandon Dedeaux, Christina Hightower, Michelle Hightower, Larry Hightower, Jr., Matthew Renick, Jacob Renick, Nathan Renick, Rachel Sansing, Jeff Macey, Jenny Macey, and Jackie Macey, and 6 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be 2:30 pm Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at the Riemann family's GULF COAST FUNERAL HOME, Three Rivers Road Chapel, Gulfport. Friends may visit from 1:30 - 2:30 pm.
Interment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
