Vera J. Boggs, age 89 and a resident of Gulfport, died on Monday, April 1, 2013, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Boggs had been a resident of Gulfport since 1959 and was a member of St. James Catholic Church. She was employed as a retail clerk with K-Mart for 15 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas & Mary Pye; her husband, George Boggs; a daughter, Gail Marie Boggs; three brothers, four sisters, and an infant granddaughter, daughter of Bobby and Sharon.
Mrs. Boggs is survived by her children, Bonnie Seymour of Ocean Springs, Bobby (Sharon) Boggs of Atlanta, GA, Connie (Daniel) O'Neal of Gulfport, and David Boggs of Gulfport; 8 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 4 great grandsons, 1 great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 5, 2013, at 2pm at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, where friends may visit from 12:30pm until service time. Entombment will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. James Catholic Elementary School, 603 West Avenue, Gulfport, MS 39507.
