Velma Hesse, age 87, of Long Beach died on January 11th at home surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Hesse was born in Reidsville, GA. She traveled the world as a military wife making loving homes for her family.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Elis Smith, Clyde Taylor, and George Hesse; daughter Diane Gilbert: and granddaughter Laura Gilbert.
Mrs. Hesse is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Martini of Long Beach (Les), Patricia Logan, of Virginia Beach, (Dennis), sister Jessie Wood of Manassas, GA; and stepson Buddy Hesse of San Antonia. She is also survived by grandchildren, Beth Gilbert, Julie White, Steve Gilbert, Adam Logan, Josh Logan, Matthew Logan, and four great-grandchildren.
Service and burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on February, 5, 2009, at Arlington National Cemetery. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Gulfport is in charge of the arrangements.
