Veda Cuevas

Veda Mae Cuevas, age 84, of Pass Christian, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018, surrounded by loved ones.  Mrs. Cuevas was preceded in death by her husband, Huey "Buddy" Lester Cuevas, Sr.; her daughters, Linda Gay Cuevas and Betty Carol Ladner; her father, August Cuevas; her mother, Theresa Moran Ladner; and stepfather, Alden Ladner.
Mrs. Cuevas was a devout Catholic and a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church.  She loved to spend time with her family and friends and enjoyed cooking and sewing.  She is survived by her children, Huey L. Cuevas, Jr. (Sheila) and Reba Cuevas; her brother, Ellis "Buck" Cuevas, and sisters, Juanita "Nita" Chapman and Helen Curry (Charlie); 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren; her godson, Lector "Bubby" Cuevas (Jewel); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, at 11:00 a.m.  Visitation will be held one hour prior at the church.
Burial will follow at New Delisle Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 9062 Kiln Delisle Rd, Pass Christian, MS 39571.
