Varvara G. Lagoudakis, age 65 a resident of Biloxi and formerly of Kimi, Greece, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2013 in Gulfport.
Ms. Lagoudakis came to this country as a young woman and settled on the Gulf Coast in 1970. She enjoyed children, and loved being with family and friends. She was strong willed, but always had a smile that was contagious.
She was preceded in death by her father, Evaggelos Galanopoulos, and nephew, Demetri Galanopoulos.
She is survived by her mother, Despina Galanopoulos; her two children, John Helser of Mountain View, CA, and Christina Mohler and her husband Aaron of Ocean Springs; four brothers and two sisters.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Biloxi, where family and friends may visit two hours prior to the service. Interment will follow in D'Iberville Memorial Park.
