Vallaree Ladner

Vallaree B. Ladner, age 91, of Gulfport, MS, passed away on March 25, 2022.

Mrs. Ladner was a native of Quitman, MS.  She was previously employed with the U. S. Geological Survey at Stennis Space Center, and with Ingalls Shipbuilding Corp.  She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi for over 50 years, the United Daughters of the Confederacy for 25 years, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gulfport.

Vallaree was preceded in death by her parents, Don L. and Sadie Beckman; her husband, Dwyn E. Ladner, Sr.; her son, Dwyn E. Ladner, Jr.; and her brothers, Clifton Beckman and Billy Beckman.

She is survived by her children, Karen McMillan (Grant), and Susan Griffith; her siblings, Vallie M. Beckman and D.L. Beckman; her grandchildren, Jessica Smith (Jeremy) and Tony Britt (Hannah); and her great grandchildren, Jema Smith, Cruz Britt, and Presley Britt.

The funeral service will be at 8:00 PM, Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS, with the visitation starting at 6:00 PM.  The burial will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Quitman, MS.
