Tristan Shoemake

Tristan David Roy Shoemake, a 16-year-old resident of Saucier, MS passed away on December 26, 2024, in Gulfport, MS.

 Tristan attended Harrison Central High School and earned his High School Diploma at the age of 15, and was accepted to MGCCC Perkinston Campus in the spring of 2025, after scoring a 32 on his ACT test. Tristan’s dream was to join the U. S. Air Force as a K9 handler like his Papa Shoemake and his dear friend Deputy Wade Wildman. He loved spending time with his brother, Hunter, he loved music, fishing, playing poker card games and just spending time with friends.

 He was a beautiful soul who loved people and family and always saw the best in everyone. He was always willing to put others before himself. 

 Tristan is preceded in death by his grandparents, Dott and David Shoemake, and Daryl Johnson; his stepdad, Bruce Necaise.

 He is survived by his mother, Lisa Shoemake; father, Steven Johnson; grandmother, Pamela Johnson; and his brother, Hunter Bruce Alan Shoemake; his cousin, Retha Shomake Hopkins and family; aunts and uncles, David & Dianne Shoemake, Jeff and Julie Shoemake, David Crenshaw and Reanna Breshears, Stephanie and Anthony Jewell, Jaculeyn Whiteside, Richard Breland, Trey Stiglet, Patrick Ray, and Aaron Pace and Ariel Breshears; numerous special friends, Tisha, David, Steven Alex, Destiny, McKenzie, Jacob, Chance, Jace, Cam and so many others who will miss him dearly.

 A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. funeral service is held all at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport. 

 A special note to PARENTS. Please learn the signs of drug abuse and if you suspect your child is using drugs or flirting with the desire to try them just once, act on your suspicions. The death of our children has got to stop!
