Tom Miller

Walter Thomas ""Tom"" Miller, age 78 and a resident of DeFuniak Springs, FL passed away Monday, August 19, 2013 in Biloxi, MS.
Mr. Miller served eight years in the U. S. Air Force, and had been stationed at Eglin AFB, FL. He was employed with Centel Telephone Company for 30 years, where he retired as a Supervisor.
He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Mossy Head Water Board, and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Niceville, FL and attended First Baptist Church in Mossy Head, FL. Tom was a Walton County Master Gardener, and was a Mason and member of Okaloosa Lodge 312 in Niceville. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed coaching his children in baseball.
He is survived by his wife Joan Woodard Miller of DeFuniak Springs FL; his children, Brian Miller and his wife Josephine, and Tim Miller and his wife Angie, all of Niceville, Terri Myers and her husband Craig of Wetumpka, AL, and Tracy Swank and her husband Rich, of Orlando; 3 Step-children; his brother, William Miller and his wife Helen, of Nashville, TN; and his grandchildren: Eric Miller, Max Miller, both of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Christina Myers of Birmingham, AL, Julie Myers of Wetumpka, Jasper Cabigas, Justin Cabigas, Hayden Miller, and Trenton Miller, all of Niceville, Zachary Miller, Nicholas Miller, both of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Jasmine Myers of Wetumpka, and Joseph Cabigas of Niceville; 2 step-grandchildren; and 4 step-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Mossy Head, where friends may visit 30 minutes prior to the service.
