Timothy John Dayton, 39, former professional truck driver passed away on June 15, 2026 after a long courageous battle with ALS. He was with his loving parents Richard and Laura Dayton in his favorite place in Gulfport, Mississippi. Tim is also survived by his brother and sister in-law Richard and Katalin Dayton, sister Amanda Dayton, and nieces Harper and Savannah Dayton. He is predeceased by his grandparents Betty Dayton, Grandma Oma Petersen and Timmy and Aggie Burke. Tim is also survived by his loving aunts, uncle and many cousins.

Tim was a graduate of Hastings-on-Hudson, NY High School in 2005. He resided in Danbury, Connecticut.

Tim was a world traveler who loved adventure! He accomplished so much in his short life: he was trained as a welder, he had his CDL and drove tracker trailer trucks and attended Westchester Community College. In his early years, Tim was an outstanding lefty pitcher in baseball and a defensive hockey player. Tim had many passions: he loved animals (especially dogs) Ford trucks , international travel, and most importantly being an awesome uncle to his nieces Harper and Savannah.

ALS is a horrible disease that robs so much from those it impacts. Tim is now free of pain and suffering. He was comforted in his life by his Catholic faith and his devotion to the Blessed Mother.
