Obituary

After a long courageous battle, with his wife Debbie beside him each step of the way, Tom lost his battle with Huntington Chorea Disease. He entered Heaven on June 4, 2026.

Tom dedicated his life to serving our country. He loyally served in the U.S. Air Force, retiring after 26 years as an ET Master Sergeant. While in the Air Force, Tom was a Master Instructor teaching the use of satellite dishes, antennas, and the important “green phone” used during Desert Storm. He was also a small arms/rifle expert. Tom was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Air Force Distinguished Service Bronze Star.

After retiring, Tom went to Tulane University, graduating with honors, cum laude, receiving his Bachelor of Science degree with a minor in Homeland Security.

Tom was diagnosed shortly after graduating with Huntington Chorea. He made his home in Biloxi, Mississippi with his wife, Debra (Larson), of 48 years. They enjoyed square dancing for many years, and he was proud of achieving his red belt in Taekwondo. He was a member of The Bridge Church in D’Iberville, Mississippi.

He was born December 4, 1956, to Thomas and Betty Harvey in Erie, Pennsylvania. He grew up in East Springfield, Pennsylvania and Cranesville, Pennsylvania, graduating from Northwestern High School in Albion, Pennsylvania in 1974.

Tom was the younger brother of Dianne Martin of Harborcreek, Pennsylvania and the oldest brother to Timothy (Lori) Harvey of Buckley, Washington; Dennis (Tina) Harvey of Montville, Ohio; Marilyn Horne of Dorset, Ohio; Carolyn (Bob) Webb of Conneaut, Ohio; Doug Harvey of Lake City, Pennsylvania; and Daniel (Rebekah) Harvey of Blue Ridge Summit, Pennsylvania, along with many nieces and nephews.

Tom’s body will be laid to rest in Biloxi National Cemetery, Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 2:30 pm., but he is alive and well again in Heaven with Jesus.

Riemann Family Funeral Home, West Jackson County, is honored to serve the family.
