Thelma Necaise Shiyou

Thelma Necaise Shiyou, age 77, of Kiln, passed away on May 6, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Emma Necaise, 2 brothers, Liston Necaise and Donald Necaise, a sister, Bobbie Ladner, a grandson, Corey Shiyou, and a great-grandson, Sheldon Ladner.
Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years, Grifton Shiyou, her children, Rayborn (Susan) Shiyou, Karen (Reggie) Ladner, Angie (Joe) Gambino, and Aubrey (Kim) Shiyou, a sister, Margaret Cuevas, a brother, Jerry Necaise, 9 grandchildren, Kerra Ann Ladner, Richie Ladner, Keresa Ladner Harris, Riley Ladner, Vanessa Shiyou Spence, Anthony Shiyou, Brianna Gambino Stockstill, Jenna Gambino, and Andy Shiyou, 9 great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Stockstill, Isabella Stockstill, Weston Shiyou, Valerie Shiyou, Madison Ladner, Autumn Ladner, Cayden Ladner, Landen Ladner, and Carson Harris, and numerous other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Shiyou was a lifelong resident of Hancock County and retired school bus driver. She was affectionally known as ""Aunt Tootie"" to all of her nieces and nephews and was a loving mother, grandmother figure to generations of students that rode the bus with her. She loved to cook and always had food to share with others. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, from 6 - 9 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln DeLisle Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Thursday at St. Matthews Catholic Church, White Cypress, where friends may visit from 9 - 11 am. Burial will be in Standard Sandhill Cemetery.
