Thelma Pickle Rawson

 Thelma Lynnette Pickle Rawson, age 91 of Picayune, formerly of Gulfport, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kirk and Emma Pickle; her sisters, Dorothy (Blaine) Chandler and Norma (Pete) Burks; her brother, Harold (Linda) Pickle; her infant daughter and infant son and her grandson, Blake.

Ms. Thelma is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Ivey Lane Rawson; her daughters, Teresa (Keith) Neal, Sharon (Doug) Henderson, and Cathy (Alan) Reynolds; 13 grand children and 25 great grandchildren.

She was a graduate of Barnes High School and later completed the nursing program at Pearl River Community College. She was deeply involved in her church and was a devoted member of the Baptist faith. She found great joy in preparing meals for church gatherings and in ministering to others. Above all, she dearly loved her family.

Riemann Family Funeral Home, Pass Christian, transferred Ms. Thelma to Wilcox Funeral Home in Carthage, MS, who will be handling her services.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Rocky Point Baptist Church, 4005 Rocky Point Rd, Carthage, MS 39051, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Rocky Point Cemetery.
