Thelma McBride, 81, of Gulfport, passed away November 23, 2013 in Laurel, MS.
She was born in Eufaula, AL on October 9, 1932 to the late George Grider, Sr. and Allie Mae Williams. Mrs. McBride was a charter member of Cowan Road Baptist Church where she taught the five year old Sunday school class for forty-five years. She retired from Hancock Bank after 30 years of service and she was avid bowler and loving homemaker.
Mrs. McBride was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph McBride, her parents and her grandson, Allen Nichols.
She is survived by two daughters, Tina (Gary) Nichols of Laurel, MS, and Donna (Ted) Sison of Gulfport, son, Gregg (Angela) McBride of Pensacola, FL, brother, George (Mary) Grider, Jr., sister, Lenora (Larry) Hancock, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the service time at 2:30 pm. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
