Terry H. Applewhite

Terry H. Applewhite, born on July 29, 1952, in Gulfport, MS, and a lifelong resident of the Mississippi Coast, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 22, 2025, in Covington, LA. She was a beloved member of her community and a dedicated participant at Highland Baptist Church in Pass Christian.

Terry was known for her vibrant spirit and her love for life. She cherished her time spent outdoors, whether it was fishing or simply enjoying the beauty of nature along the coast. An enthusiastic player of bingo, she found joy in the thrill of the game, as well as the camaraderie it brought. Above all, Terry's pride and joy came from her family; she adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always eager to be involved in their lives and create lasting memories with them.

She was the loving wife of Andrew Livings, Sr., with whom she shared 22 years. As a devoted mother, she is survived by her daughter, Tee Breazeale (Paul), and her son, Jamie Applewhite (Nikki Sumrell). Terry also embraced her role as a stepmother to John Livings (Rayna), Drew Livings (Samantha), Kevin Livings (Sarah), and Amber Livings. She leaves behind a wonderful legacy of family, including her 15 grandchildren: Tom Horne, Jim Horne, Steven Nance (Julie), Jessi Nance (Rhiannon), Stacey DeRouen, Michael Yutzy, Auston Applewhite, Cheyenne Applewhite, Lorlei Livings, Logan Livings, Leah Livings, Julie Livings, John John Livings, Tabitha Livings, Timmy Livings, Andrew Livings, and Eva Jean Livings, along with 12 great-grandchildren.

Terry was preceded in death by her first husband, Mark Applewhite, who passed away in 1994, and she is also preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Pearlie Lee Hancock, as well as her siblings, Jack Hancock, Bobby Hancock, Tommy Hancock, and Margaret Smith.

The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude for our home health nurse, Brittany, and the other home health staff who provided support and care during Terry's later years. Her kind heart, vibrant personality, and loving spirit will be missed by all who knew her. Terry H. Applewhite leaves behind a rich legacy of love, family, and cherished moments that will be held dear in the hearts of many.
