Tammy Dauterive

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tammy Cunningham Dauterive, beloved wife, mother, and daughter, on December 23, 2022, following a long battle with cancer. Tammy was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing.

Tammy was born on December 28, 1962, in Pascagoula, MS to her parents Dr. Orville and Ouida Cunningham of Escatawpa, MS. Even though Tammy lived and attended schools in various locations, she always considered Escatawpa her home base, where her grandmother, Mrs. Noel Ulmer, resided. After elementary school and graduation from high school in Baton Rouge, LA, Tammy attended Louisiana State University, graduating with a degree in marketing and journalism in May of 1984. After obtaining her degree, she held employment in various positions in her related field.

While at LSU, Tammy met the love of her life, Daniel Dauterive, of Breaux Bridge, LA, and they were united in marriage on January 5, 1985. Through this union they had two sons, Myles Lawless Dauterive (Jessica) of Polson, MT and Cameron Noel Dauterive (Jacquelyn) of Trumbull, CT.

Tammy is survived by her husband, Daniel, her sons Myles and Cameron, and her mother, Ouida Ulmer Cunningham. She also has three fur grandbabies: Toula, Scarlett, and Sherlock.

Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Orville Cunningham, her maternal grandparents, Rev. and Mrs. Noel Ulmer of Gulfport and Escatawpa, and her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James L Cunningham of Escatawpa.

She is also survived by two aunts, an uncle, and cousins who loved Tammy so very much.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Memorial Service at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd., in West Jackson County. A procession to Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula will immediately follow.  The Riemann Family Funeral Home in West Jackson County is proudly serving the Dauterive family.
