Sylvia Ann Stoffregen, age 69, a resident of Gulfport, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2016.
Sylvia worked for the Harrison County Tax Collectors office for 29 years, before retiring as the Deputy Chief Tax Collector. She then went on to work at Hancock Bank and Wigley's Store, both in Gulfport. She had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. She was a member of Michael Memorial Baptist Church of Gulfport.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert C. Jones and Mary Alma Jones; her sister Carolyn Jones Webb; and two brothers, Kenneth Ray Jones and David Jones.
Sylvia is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Hoyt A. Stoffregen of Gulfport; her children, Damon Reynolds of Houston, TX and Karen Langenbach of Saucier; her brother, Robert C. ""Bobby"" Jones (Joyce) of Jackson, MS; her four precious grandchildren, Brandon Vorhes, Emily Reynolds, Jessica Langenbach, and Jackson Reynolds; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, May 23, 2016, from 2:30 PM until 4:00 PM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Finley Cemetery.
