~~Sylvia Aultman, age 73, of Gulfport, passed away on September 14, 2017. She was born in Harbour Island, Bahamas in 1944. She lived in several places throughout Florida and southern Louisiana. Sylvia made Gulfport, MS her home in the early 80's.
She was known for her cooking and her love for singing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dale Aultman; parents, Robert and Doris Thompson; two brothers; and two sisters.
She is survived by her long-time companion, Lowell "Bob" Childers of Gulfport; her three children, Karen Zulian (Ron) of Rincon, GA, Virlyn D. Sheppard (Jill) of Titusville, FL, Sharon McGowin of Biloxi, MS; seven grandchildren, Craig Ladner, Tyler Ladner (Jen), Shawn Ladner, Garret Baker, Brittany Manous, Branden McGowin, and Christian McGowin; two great-grandchildren, Jaja Koiram, Travis Ladner; and one brother, Butch Curry of Harbour Island, Bahamas.
