Sydney Irene Roberts

Sydney Irene Roberts, 75 of Gulfport passed away on December 13, 2024 at her residence. She was born on November 2, 1949 in New Orleans, LA to the late William & Freda Fink. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years Quitman Carly Roberts III; parents, brother, William Fink Jr.; and niece Catherine Tomasich.

Sydney graduated from Riverdale High School. She met her husband while attending Munholland Methodist Church. Sydney graduated from University of New Orleans with a degree in Education and received her Masters in Special Education from William & Carey University,. Together with her husband, Carl, they owned and operated Professional Music and Mountain Music in Gulfport. After living and running the business here in Gulfport, they decided to move to Orlando and work for the Disney Corporation. Sydney then began her career as trainer and mentor of newly hired cast members.

Sydney loved her her dogs and all things Disney, Sydney was of the Methodist faith, and attended churches throughout Louisiana, Mississippi, and Florida. She was a loving and joyful person, who loved life and helping others. Losing her husband and best friend,Cari, a few months ago was hard on Sydney. Now they are together again, reunited with friends and family. Even though we are sad of her passing, her spirit lives on in all of us, and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Sydney is survived by her sister, Hope Kitchens. Sydney also leaves behind to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.

A Graveside Ceremony will be held at a later date at Mt Pleasant Methodist Church Cemetery in Vancleave.
