Syble Louise Daniels Miller

Syble Louise Daniels Miller, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Lavada Daniels, her stepmother, Sally Daniels; her husband, Rev. Wilson T. Miller; her brother, Henry Daniels; her sister, Mary Sue Blaylock; and her grandson, Matthew Lindsey Miller.
She is survived by two sons, Ted Miller (Beverly) of Morgan City, Louisiana; Eddie Miller (Diane) of Gulfport; three grandchildren, Owen Miller (Hollie) of Gulfport; Lynn Cloy (Steve) of Greer, South Carolina; and Todd Miller (Dianna) of Long Beach; Lynn and Todd's mother, Rebecca Tedford Miller of Greer, South Carolina; eight great-grandchildren, Daniel and Andrew Cloy; Kate Cloy Williams (Liam); Nancy, Thad, and Michael Miller; Henry Miller; Lindsey Riley; and one great-great grandchild, Kiera Williams.

Mrs. Miller was born in Drew, Mississippi, on August 22, 1920. At an early age she moved to Louise, Mississippi, where she grew up. During her long life, Mrs. Miller worked for Jones Brothers and J. C. Penney in downtown Gulfport and Gayfer's at Edgewater Mall in Biloxi. She retired from Gayfer's in 1985 after working there for more than 20 years. She was a member of Bel Aire Baptist Church in Gulfport and attended faithfully until her health declined. She was a wonderful cook and prepared many delicious meals for her family. She was a woman of great Christian faith and this faith shone through every aspect of her life.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Emeritus of Biloxi where Mrs. Miller lived the last three years and especially Dr. Douglas Lanier and the nurses and healthcare providers on the fourth and fifth floors at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport for the compassionate care she was given in her last days.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013 at Noon at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport with a visitation from 10:00 AM until the service. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport.
