Suzanne Kay Martinez, 68 of Pass Christian and a native of Martinsville, Indiana, passed away Friday, December 26, 2014 at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Wendell A. Hatton and Marguerite C. Wilhite, and her daughter, Tammy Waterman.
Mrs. Martinez is survived by her husband of 31 years Richard E. Martinez of Pass Christian, MS; her son, John W. Hatton; her sister, Norma Jean Cribb; her nephew, Albert F. Cribb Jr.; and her niece, Katherine J. Mann.
She received her GED and her Nursing Degree from Mississippi Gulf Coast Junior College, Jeff Davis Campus. She was a homemaker who enjoyed and loved her hobbies of crochet, cross-stitch, painting ceramics, tending to her houseplants and caring for her pets.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation of any size in her name to the Humane Society of South Mississippi, 2615 25th Avenue, Gulfport, MS 39501.
