Susan Fletcher "Scout" Seales, a beloved figure in her community and a dedicated professional, passed away on March 10, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on April 28, 1950, Susan lived her life with a commitment to service and an unwavering spirit that touched all those around her.

She is preceded in death by her spouse, William Seales; brother, JV Fletcher; niece, Maggie Fletcher; and her father, John Fletcher.

Susan is survived by her mother, Betty Fletcher; daughter, Tatiana Stewart; stepson, Stephen Seales; siblings, Simon & Vicky Fletcher, Carol & Julio Calix, Same Fletcher, Tim Fletcher, Lockie & Chris Quattrini, and David & Diane Fletcher; and grandchildren, Zack Greif and Cleo Melvin.

Susan’s career began with a position as a store manager at Popeye's, where she demonstrated exceptional leadership and determination. Her hard work and passion for the industry led her to climb the ranks to become a corporate trainer for "America's Favorite Chicken." Throughout her career, she earned numerous corporate awards, a testament to her dedication and expertise. Susan was also a distinguished member of the Dean's List at the University of New Orleans (UNO) and an active student council member, reflecting her commitment to excellence in education and community involvement.

A proud graduate of Fortier High School in New Orleans, Susan continued her academic journey, earning a bachelor’s degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism from UNO. Her educational background laid the foundation for her successful career and her lifelong love for learning.

Beyond her professional achievements, Susan was known for her generous spirit and her desire to be a useful member of society. She enjoyed giving what she could, when she could, to anyone in need. Her kindness and love were evident in every interaction, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know her.

During her retirement, Susan found joy in driving for UBER and Lyft, relishing the opportunity to connect with people from all walks of life. She was a vibrant participant in the UNO Glee Club and Pep Squad, showcasing her passion for the performing arts. An artist at heart, she enjoyed drawing and adult coloring, the Game Show Network and crime series, which provided her great entertainment and enjoyment.

Susan was also a devoted member of the Gulfport Church of Christ, where she cultivated relationships and shared in the fellowship of her faith community. Her legacy is one of love, kindness, and unwavering support for her family, friends, and community.
