Susan Marie Murray

   Susan Marie Murray, a beloved member of the Gulfport community, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024, at Coastal Health & Rehab in Gulfport, Mississippi. She was born on August 15, 1949, in Gulfport to Essie Baynes Bourgeois and Jerry Michael Bourgeois.
 
   Susan excelled in her career and retired as a highly respected HR manager. She was a graduate of St. John High School in Gulfport later became an integral part of the workforce leaving a lasting impact on those she worked with.
 
   A kind and gentle soul, Susan was deeply rooted in her faith as a member of St. James Catholic Church in Gulfport. Her personality shone bright as a former resident of Key Largo, Florida, where she touched the lives of many with her generosity and compassion.
 
   Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Murray; her loving parents, Essie and Jerry Bourgeois; along with her brother, Dennis Bourgeois;  She is survived by her brothers, Michael Bourgeois of London and Gary Bourgeois of Gulfport. She will also be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews: Chantelle, Michele, Stephanie, Emma, Lance, Brittany; and other cherished family members and friends who were touched by her warmth and grace.
 
   A visitation to honor Susan's life will take place at St. James Catholic Church in Gulfport on Friday, June 14th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM in the church.
 
   Then on Saturday, June 15th, the final Graveside Service will be held at Waveland Cemetery in Waveland at 11:00 AM.
 
   Susan Marie Murray will forever be remembered for her unwavering love for those around her and the light she brought into the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her. May she rest in peace knowing that her legacy of kindness lives on in the hearts of those she touched. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
