Steven Scott Wood a lifelong resident of Long Beach, MS was born on April 13, 1967, in Gulfport, Mississippi, left this world on May 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was a dedicated professional, serving as a Manager and Sales representative at Klumb Forest Products, where he was well-respected and cherished by his colleagues for his commitment to his work and his vibrant personality.

Steven was an alumnus of Long Beach High School and Mississippi State University, institutions that shaped his formative years and his passion for learning. Known for his love of the outdoors, he created many cherished memories vacationing in the mountains and tending to his yard. He found joy in cheering on the Mississippi State Bulldogs, displaying his unwavering support for his team.

Famed for his culinary skills, Steven hosted memorable Friday night cookouts, serving up his renowned "Steve Steaks," which became a beloved tradition among family and friends. His ability to bring people together through good food and heartfelt laughter will be fondly remembered.

Steven is survived by his beloved wife of 15 years, Lisa Wood, and his cherished children: Alex Wood and his wife Daisy, Samuel Wood, Ryan Evans and his wife Tiffany, and Cody Evans and his partner Julie Abel. He was a devoted son to Patricia Ann Pope, and a supportive brother to Richie Wood and his wife Stephanie. Steven's legacy will live on through his grandchildren: Eva Wood, Manny Wood, Lemon Wood, Grant Evans, and Olivia Evans, who were sources of immeasurable joy in his life. He also leaves behind his dear uncle, Robert Wood, and his beloved dog, Bailey.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Wood.

A  visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a memorial service from 2:00 PM at Riemann Family Funeral Home in Long Beach with his brother in law, Tim Lewallen officiating.

Steven's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, as he was not only a dedicated professional but also a loyal friend and a loving family man. His spirit of kindness and joy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege to share in his life.
