Steven Michael Hanberry

Steven Michael Hanberry, 38, left us on April 23, 2026, in his own home.

Steven was a dedicated general contractor who took great pride in working for himself and building a life through his own hands. He truly loved what he did, and that passion showed in both his work and the way he approached each day.

He found his greatest joy being on or near the water—whether fishing, relaxing, or simply enjoying the moment. He had a passion and talent for cooking, and he loved music festivals, good times, and most of all, spending time with his family.

Steven will be remembered as smart, strong-willed, and incredibly hardworking. He had a way of putting others before himself, always making sure the people around him were taken care of first. That loyalty and care defined who he was.

Above all, Steven loved his son, Rhyland, deeply. He was proud of him and wanted nothing more than to see him grow, succeed, and build a life of his own.

Steven was the son of the late Richard Steven Hanberry and Kimberly Frances Hanberry. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Geri Elizabeth Hanberry.

He is survived by his son, Rhyland Ali Hanberry; his mother, Kimberly Frances Hanberry; his life partner, Amber Louise Contant; and a large family who loved him deeply.
