Stacie Ann Prestwood, of Gulfport, Mississippi at the age of 48, was called home on August 5, 2026. Stacie, a devoted wife and mother, will be remembered by a husband of 22 years, Curtis “Curt” Prestwood, sons Evan and Aaron, and daughters Claire and Sarabeth.
Stacie is survived by mother, Carol Armstrong, brother, Jeremy Armstrong and wife Wendy, sister, Pamela Armstrong, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, whom she dearly loved.
She was preceded in death by father, Bobby Armstrong, sister, Melissa Armstrong, and grandparents, Ivan and Juanita Foster; Oliver Durwood and Mary Armstrong.
Stacie graduated from Gulfport High School in 1996, attended Jeff Davis Junior College, and worked as an Orthodontic Assistant. She was a dedicated stay-at-home mom, homeschooling her children throughout the years. She and Curt were loving foster parents to three more children as well.
At a young age, Stacie enjoyed and competed in English horseback riding. Later, her hobbies included camping, canoeing, rafting, and traveling to beaches and mountains. She had a heart for animals and rescued countless pets over the years.
Stacie, a member of Michael Memorial Baptist Church, selflessly served those around her, volunteering in several areas. Her love of family and friends was ever present in her actions and words. This was due to her passion for the Lord and studying His word daily.
The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to Baptist Children’s Village or Michael Memorial Baptist Church Missions.
Visitation will be on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 10 - 11 am at Michael Memorial Baptist Church, 15053 John Clark Rd, Gulfport, MS 39503. A memorial service will be at 11 am in the church.
The Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport, is serving the family.
