SMSgt Anthony A. Dandrea, Sr., USAF, Ret., age 89, of Pass Christian, passed away on November 29, 2012.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary D'Andrea, a grandson, Joshua Clark, and a sister, Gilda D'Andrea.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Ruth E. Dandrea, his children, Kathleen Smith, Mary Ann Bunnell (James), Danny Dandrea (Laurie), Bobby Dandrea (Cheryl), John Dandrea, Diane Clark (Darrell), and Cindy Burk (Roger), a brother, Joseph D'Andrea, a sister, Mary D'Andrea, 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. Mr. Dandrea served in the U.S. Army and later the U.S. Air Force during WWII, Korea, and Viet Nam, and retired as a Senior Master Sergeant after 23 years of service. He was a founder and owned and operated Worldwide Insurance Agencies based along the coast and retired in 2005. He loved to travel, spending time with his family, and playing golf where he was an avid Tiger Woods fan.
Visitation will be Monday, December 3, 2012, from 1 - 2 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach. The funeral service will be at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be in Live Oak Cemetery, Pass Christian.
