Shirley Jean Faye Stevens, age 71 and a longtime resident of the MS Gulf Coast, died on Saturday, November 24, 2012, in Nicholson.
Mrs. Stevens was preceded in death by her father, James Faye; her mother, Doris Holden Schwartz; her husband, Prentiss Stevens; her brothers, Elmer E. Faye, Ronald B. Faye, and Donald H. Faye, and her beloved canine companion, Scrappy.
She is survived by her children, Helen Ruth Watkins (Billy Vincent) of Bay St. Louis, James A. Gauley (Karen Murrell) of Slidell, LA and Cynthia A. Arnold of Mandeville, LA; her sister, Debbie Faye (Mark) Burge of Bristow, OK; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at 3pm at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road in Pass Christian, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Rotten Bayou Cemetery in Hancock County.
