Shirley Flowers, age 67 and a resident of Saucier, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 20, 2009, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Flowers was born and raised in Broadbranch, FL. She married Daniel Blair and raised seven children in the Kinard, FL area. Later in life, she moved to Saucier where she remained with daughter, Vera Mae, until she when to be with her Lord.
Mrs. Flowers was preceded in death by her sons, Michael and Howard Blair; her brother; 2 sisters; and her parents, Woodrow and Ellen Lollie.
She is survived by her six children, Joann (Anthony) Britt, Joseph Blair, Vera Mae (Wayne) McCarty, Patricia Blair,James Blair, and Ann (Bob) Henry; two brothers, Clyde Lollie, of Malore, FL, Steve Lollie, of Chipley, FL; seven grandchilren, Anthony (Ashley) Britt, Wayne """"Jr."""" (Josephine) McCarty, Matthew Britt, Ashley R. Britt, David Dorsey, Corey Dorsey, and Howard Jones; and six great-grandchildren, Dylan Juneau, Sunye Holland, Chasidy Britt, Joanna Britt, Michael Beebe, and Madisyn McCarty.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 23, 2009, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2009, at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at D'Iverville Memorial Park.
