Mrs. Shirley F. Faust of Biloxi passed away peacefully the evening of February 4, 2018, surrounded by family. Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Shirley spent most of her adult life in Buckhead, Atlanta, where she raised her family. She spent 51 loving years with her husband, Henry C. Faust, Jr., until his passing in 1999.
Shirley was involved in her community throughout her life. She was a member of the Cherokee Town & Country Club, Castlewood Garden Club and was a weekly volunteer at Emory St. Joseph's Hospital. Shirley stayed active by playing golf with friends and was an extremely talented artist and seamstress. Over the years, Shirley mastered sewing everything from sequin ball gowns to men's suiting, often creating her own patterns. Most recently she taught herself to paint with oils.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Henry C. Faust, Jr.
She is survived by her two daughters, Christine Chriscoe (Ralph) and Cynthia Faust McDermott (Michael); as well as grandchildren, Michael B. McDermott, Jr. (Abbey), Meredith Faust McDermott Niland (AJ), Derek A. Chriscoe, and Kyle A. Chriscoe.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a later date.
