Shirley Ruth Darmohray, age 72, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2016 in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lumas Lundy and Betty Branam Lundy; siblings, Eula, Mary, Inita, Jimmy, and John Willie; and her husband, Peter R. Darmohray, Jr.
Mrs. Darmohray is survived by her children, Richard Darmohray and Betty Darmohray; her granddaughter, Danielle Darmohray; and her siblings: Jack, Denny, Fred, Donald, Debbie, Linda, Wilma, and Millard.
Mrs. Darmohray was a native of Harlan County, Kentucky and was a military spouse. She had an immense unconditional love for her family and great admiration for her granddaughter, Danielle. She was a lover of animals and those in need.
She was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Sumter, SC, Republican National Committee, National Rifle Association, ASPCA, Humane Society, and Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
Shirley carried in her heart an unwavering love for God and family. Her sacrifices and humbleness touched us all. Her faith and wisdom as a devoted follower of God and His Word will forever be part of our lives. May God welcome her home and keep her safe in his arms.
The funeral service will be 12:30 p.m. on Friday, September 9, 2016 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Biloxi, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of South MS (www.hssm.org) or DAV (www.dav.org)
