Sherman O. Eleuterius

Sherman O. Eleuterius, Jr., passed from this life on Thursday, November 20, 2014, at Ocean Springs Hospital. He was born on January 25, 1925 in Bayou La Batre, AL.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942-1945 during WWII and then he served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1957-1958 during the Korean War. He was retired from Long Beach Naval Shipyard in Long Beach, CA. He married his wife, Rita M. Pallini in February 1944, while residing in Martinez, CA.
Mr. Eleuterius was preceded in death by his father, Sherman Eleuterius, Sr.; his mother, Bessie Mae Bosarge; his son, Stephen Eleuterius and his sister, Elizabeth Mattina.
He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Rita Eleuterius; his daughter, Christine Mlady of Nebraska; two granddaughters, Laurie Silverthorn and Sherry Einspahr of Nebraska; five great grandchildren, Maria Mlady, Rachael Silverthorn, Kandra Smelker, Kaleb and Bodhi Bapat all of Nebraska and his brother, Bobby Eleuterius.
Private services will be held at Southern Memorial Park in Biloxi.
Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road in Biloxi, served the family.
