Shelton Oscar ""Shag"" Webster, age 81 passed away on Wednesday March 2, 2016 in Gulfport, MS.
""Shag"" was a Barber for 54 years beginning in Biloxi, he was a very hardworking man who loved his family and loved to play sports. He played basketball, football and ran track for Biloxi High School, then went on to play football at Perk and in the US Army.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Bertie Walker Webster and his father, Paul Webster.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Dorothy Ann Webster of Ocean Springs; his 5 children, Joy Lynn Pauls of Ocean Springs, Jan K. Curnow of Cleburne, TX, Shelton J. Webster of Port St. Lucie, FL., Jill Arguelles of Vancleave, and Kim E. Scheurich of St. Martin; his brother, Doyle Webster of Ocean Springs and sister, Etna Thomas of Wiggins; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
""Shag"" will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 11, 2016 at Oasis House of Prayer, 555 Cowan Road, Gulfport. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 13872 Lemoyne Boulevard at the corner of Washington Avenue in Ocean Springs is serving the family.
