Sheila Kay (Whirley) Hogue, 63, of Latimer, MS, passed away on January 8, 2016, peacefully in her home, surrounded by family and friends. Sheila was born in Wichita Falls, TX, on January 30, 1952. She attended St. Martin High School in MS. She moved back to Texas in the late 1970's. She became a dental assistant and later taught dental assisting. Sheila worked for Electronic Data Systems for seven years, and was a Building Manager for National Group Life for nine years. After her company relocated to another state, Sheila returned to school to become a registered nurse. She worked at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, TX, ETMC in Quitman, TX, Biloxi Regional (Merit Health), and Gulf Oaks in Biloxi, MS.
Sheila is preceded in death by her husband, Doug Hogue, her parents, J. E. and George Ann Whirley, and her brother, Keith Whirley.
Sheila is survived by her son Scott Beaugez and his wife Meredith, daughter Tracy Beaugez, and granddaughters Haylee and Meagan Beaugez, all of Latimer, MS. She is also survived by her sister Judy Taylor and her husband Dave, of Mansfield, TX, and brother Greg Whirley and his wife Kim, of Telephone, TX, and sister-in-law Kathy Beaugez, of Ocean Springs, MS, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends, including lifelong friends Anthony and Trudy Mathieu of Ocean Springs, MS.
Sheila spent her life working hard and taking care of her family. After her husband's death, she returned to Mississippi to be with her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She always put her family's needs above her own. Sheila will be missed by many.
