Sharon Lea (Grimes) Cameron, age 79 of Long Beach, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2018. She was a native of San Antonio, TX.
Mrs. Cameron was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Lynn Cameron; her father, Karl Grimes; mother, Ruth Dennison Grimes; two sisters, Karleen Lawrence and Nancy Jo Carter.
She is survived by her children, Sharon L. Cameron McNair and Michael S. McNair of Richton, MS, William E. Cameron and Patty Cameron of Waveland, MS, Steve Golson, and Terry Golson of Carlisle, MA, Terry Williams and Paul Williams of Austin, TX, and Kim Link, chosen family of Saucier, MS; siblings Georgie Sue Spell, C.W. Spell and Margaret Alice Lawrence; grandchildren, Heather R. Dauzat, Rebecca L. Lee, Sara M. Adams, Jennifer D. Brown, chosen family; and three great-grandchildren, Gracie Lynn Alford, Madelyn Lou Dauzat and Cooper Michael Lee.
Mrs. Cameron loved watching Jeopardy with her husband, loved Don Williams music, puzzles, crosswords, bird watching, violets, her dog Pretty Girl, and reading the newspaper. She was a devoted wife to the love of her life, Jackie. Her greatest joy was found in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an amazing person with the most beautiful heart and a friend to all who knew her. Her mark will remain on every life she touched.
