Sharlet Singletary Bordelon, born March 8, 1949, in Louisiana, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026, in Diamondhead, Mississippi. She lived a full and joyful life surrounded by family and friends.
Sharlet was raised in Louisiana and made her home in Terrytown during her early years. She later moved to Chalmette, where she worked as a bookkeeper for many years before becoming a general contractor and proudly owning Allstar Waterproofing. After retiring, she relocated to Picayune, Mississippi, and eventually settled in Diamondhead in 2020.
Sharlet had a deep love for the water, boating, and the outdoors—passions well known to all who knew her. She was also an exceptional cook, and her home was often filled with the warmth of home-cooked meals shared with her children, grandchildren, and friends.
She is survived by her loving sons, Jeffrey Pitts and Larry Pitts; her daughters-in-law, Tammy Pitts and Rachel Herring; and her brother, Allen Singletary. She cherished her grandchildren, Jordan Ervin (Justin), Joshua Pitts, Veronica Pitts, Adrian Herring, and Kristyana Herring, and was a proud great-grandmother to Karter Smith. She is also fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Carol Lovecchio and Linda Brown; her mother, Eva Lombard; and her stepfather, Junior Lombard.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Sharlet’s life on April 18, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a memorial service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Riemann Family Funeral Home, located at 9113 Kiln Delisle Road in Pass Christian, Mississippi.
