Shannon Nicole Bachtel, age 47, of Gulfport passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019.
Shannon was born in Lafayette, Louisiana and graduated from Salmen High School in Slidell, Louisiana. After graduation, she worked in various jobs and met her husband, Brian, and became a wife and mom. Most recently, she worked as a Logistics Manager during the BP oil spill in 2010.
Shannon was a loving wife, mother, and granny. Her greatest joy was being able to spend time with her grandchildren. She will always be remembered for her kind heart and willingness to help out anyone anytime.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Brian Bachtel; grandparents, Edna Earl Hixon and Felix Natividad.
She is survived by her daughter, Madison (Brenden Carroll) Bachtel; sons Nicholas (Alexis) Bachtel and Tyler Bachtel; mother, Alfonsa Ann Refre, father Daniel Refre; granddaughters, Lily Marie Bond, Brexlee Jade Nicole Bachtel, Emery Gayle and Adley Nicole Lopresto; grandsons, Bryson Ryan Ladner, Brenden Joseph Carroll Jr.; father-in-law, Richard Bachtel; and mother-in-law Karen Bachtel.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Madison Bachtel to help with funeral expenses.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Gulfport is serving the family.
