Scott Gerard "Scotty" Hasney

Scott ""Scotty"" Gerard Hasney. On the evening of July 10, 2016, our beloved Scott passed away peacefully of natural causes at Gulfport Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, Mississippi. At the time of his passing, Scott was 55 years old. Scott was born in the city of Columbia, South Carolina on June 28, 1961. He was the third child, and only son, of Yvonne Churchill and Earle Fiske Hasney. Scott graduated from Bay High School in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi and lived on the Mississippi Gulf Coast for the remainder of this life. Scott was a very loving man, and unlike the materialistic world in which we live, Scott lived simply with few possessions to make him happy. Scott was a carpenter by trade, but he was also very artistic. Scott enjoyed nature, fishing, biking and just the labor of his hands. Scott's life would seem too short to many, yet for those who were touched by him, Scott's time with us will serve as a reminder of the preciousness of life.
Scott is survived by his sisters, Leslie Xavier and Michelle Bultman, and his parents, Yvonne and Earle Hasney. The family wishes to thank all of those at Gulfport Memorial Hospital who were so gracious and tender to Scott during his last days before passing. May he be forever at peace with his savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
