Sara Frances "Fran" Adams, age 80, of Biloxi, passed away on October 23, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh B. and Ida Fink; her sisters, Edith Ward and Kate Baldwin.
Survivors include her loving and dedicated husband of 61 years, Charles Adams; a daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Lynn Desporte; sisters-in-law, Jean Watson, Linda White and her husband Richard; grandchildren, Charlie and Jamie Desporte, Dr. Laura Akin and her husband, Dr. Travis Akin, and Kristi Warren; 3 great-grandchildren; numerous devoted nieces and nephews.
Fran was born in Kingsport, TN. Early in her marriage to Charles, they traveled because of his military career. In 1962, they settled and made a home in Biloxi, a town she dearly loved. She was a selfless, caring wife, mother, friend, and a true southern lady.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses and staff in the Progressive Care Unit and Intensive Care Unit at Gulfport Memorial Hospital - especially Dr. Joseph Bosarge and Dr. Michael Payment. We would also like to express our heartfelt love and gratitude to Dr. Allison Wall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Fran Adams to MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 27, 2017, from 9 - 10 am at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Rd., Biloxi. A funeral service will be at 10 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.
