Sandra Denise McBride, age 61 of Gautier, MS passed away on July 11, 2022, at her home in Gautier.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy S. McBride.
Sandra is survived by her mother, Helen McBride; her daughter, Callie McBride; her brother, Charles McBride; nieces and nephews, Charlie, Morgan and Jackie McBride; and a host of friends.
She was a native of Hattiesburg, MS and a longtime resident of Gautier. Sandra earned her masters degree from the University of Southern Mississippi over 17 years ago and was an English teacher who specialized in Shakespeare. She was the first woman to receive the Linwood Orange Award from USM in 1997, and she was a location scout for Mississippi Burning.
Sandra enjoyed fishing, photography, movies, visiting elephant conservations and the zoo. The elephant was her favorite animal.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at The Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd. in West Jackson County. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 15th at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. She will be taken in procession to the Hattiesburg City Cemetery and laid to rest close to her father. Riemann Family Funeral Home, West Jackson County is proudly serving the McBride family.
Officiating the service will be Rev. Scott Sullivan and Rev. John Switzer. Pallbearers will be, Larry Pickering, Scott Hotard, Ryan Seidel, Doug Moulyneux, Skip Beard, Phillip Rodriguez.
