Sandra Fincher

Sandra “MawMaw” Fincher, 77 of Gulfport, MS passed away peacefully at her home on January 13, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on November 16, 1946 in Gulfport to the late Clennon “Buck” & Inez Cuevas.  Sandra is preceded in death by her parents; son, Terry Moran; daughter, Karen Moran; brothers, Marvin Cuevas, and Michael Roberson.

Sandra met her husband who was career Military.  Together they married on October 13, 1972 and were together over 51 years.  She supported his career for 11 years and together they raised a family.  During this time she worked as a floor supervisor at Maybells Clothing Factory.  After the Military, they opened Fincher Electronic Repair which they operated until 2000.  Sandra was a member of Biloxi River Baptist Church.

Sandra was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She adored spending time with her grandchildren.  Sandra also enjoyed being in the outdoors in her garden and going fishing.   She had a close relationship with her husband’s family.  They have a small group of sister-in-laws called the “Golden Girls”, where they were always together laughing and having a good time.  Sandra was an amazing women who led by example.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Sandra is survived by her loving husband of 51 years Glen Fincher; daughters, Cindy Bosarge, and Sandy Moran; grandchildren, Bobbi Joe Stiglet, Brandon Allen, Justine Rhodes, Amber Moran, Meagan Demary, Dakota Moran, Terri DaPozzo, Heather Schultz, Tashia Ladd, Bryan Demary, Sadie Sterling, Summer Moran; Siblings, Julie Ann Ramirez, Mildred Staley, and Billy Rae Roberson.  Sandra also leaves behind to cherish her memory, 28 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Biloxi River Baptist Church (13340 Rene Ave, Gulfport, MS).  Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm at the Biloxi River Baptist Church (13340 Rene Ave, Gulfport, MS) with burial to follow at Wolf River Cemetery.
