Sandra "Sonnie" Bennett

Sandra ""Sonnie"" Kay Taylor Bennett, age 69, of Pearlington, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on January 5, 2013, after a 3 month battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
She is preceded in death by her father, Virgil Taylor, her mother, Betty Ross Kirkhart, and a brother, William Bill Taylor.
Sonnie is survived by her husband of 47 years, James ""J.D."" Bennett, Sr., sons, James ""Jamie"" D. Bennett, Jr. (Tracy), and John ""Glenn"" Bennett (Michelle), daughters, Sheila Evans (Billy), and Vickie Netto, two sisters, Linda""Tootie"" Martin, and Karen Greene, 10 grandchildren, Lyla, Neisha, Kaylee, Billy, Derek, Shelby, Harleigh, Tyler, Samantha, and Dalton, and 5 great-grandchilden, Shiya, Derek, Jr., Akira, Levi, and Blaine.
Visitation will be Monday, January 7, 2013, from 6 - 10 pm at the Pearlington United Methodist Church, 5212 Levee Street, Pearlington. the funeral service will be at 11 am Tuesday in the church sanctuary. Burial will be in Bayou LaCroix Cemetery.
